WB Impregnating Preservative
SpecWood® WB Impregnating Preservative is a one-component, water-based, solvent-free impregnating primer containing lignin-reactive components. Designed for bare natural softwoods and hardwoods, it penetrates the timber to help protect lignin from degradation while enhancing the water resistance, surface hardness, weathering resistance and durability of the complete coating system.

Intended Uses
SpecWood WB Impregnating Preservative is intended for use as an impregnating primer on natural softwoods and hardwoods before the application of a suitable wood coating system.
The product's primary function is to penetrate bare timber and help prevent degradation of lignin. Lignin is an important natural component of wood that contributes to the rigidity and rot resistance of the timber. Protecting it helps improve the service life and performance of both the wood and the coating system applied over it.
Because the product relies on impregnation, it must be applied directly to bare, absorbent wood. It should not be applied over sealed or previously coated surfaces that prevent penetration.
