Automotive Finish Paint

PU DTM
Flexi HB Gloss

PU DTM Flexi HB Gloss is a two-component, solvent-based, high-solids aliphatic polyurethane primer and finish engineered for direct-to-metal protection in demanding industrial environments. Its flexible polyester-modified formulation combines advanced adhesion promotion with zinc phosphate pigmentation to provide anti-corrosive performance, excellent mechanical resistance and outstanding exterior durability.

Featuring Polyfast technology, the coating delivers rapid ambient curing while maintaining a practical pot life of 90–120 minutes at 25°C. It can be used as a direct-to-metal primer and finish system or applied over suitable primers in more corrosive environments. The cured coating provides a smooth, high-slip surface with excellent UV and weather resistance.

Intended Uses

PU DTM Flexi HB Gloss is designed as a direct-to-metal primer and finish coating for mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, galvanized iron and other metal substrates. It can provide a single-coat protective system on suitably prepared steel in environments up to C3-M, offering an alternative to traditional two- or three-coat protective systems.

For more highly corrosive environments, the product can be used as a durable polyurethane topcoat over an appropriate anti-corrosive primer system. Its combination of flexibility, toughness, chemical resistance and UV stability also makes it suitable for exterior tanks, equipment, structural steel, concrete and other surfaces exposed to demanding environmental conditions.

PU DTM Flexi HB Gloss is particularly suited to the refurbishment of industrial metal roof sheeting, where its direct-to-metal capability, high film build, adhesion and weather resistance can simplify maintenance coating systems. Its flexibility and mechanical resistance also allow it to be used for flooring and line demarcation in warehouses and commercial facilities subject to forklift and heavy pedestrian traffic.

Typical Applications:

  • Structural steel
  • Mild steel components
  • Stainless steel
  • Aluminium components
  • Galvanized iron
  • Steel roofs
  • Industrial roof sheeting
  • Warehouse roofs
  • Factory roofs
  • Processing facility roofs
  • Exterior tanks
  • Processing equipment
  • Pumps and valves
  • Industrial plant and equipment
  • Power generation equipment
  • Automotive trucks
  • Commercial trailers
  • Agricultural equipment
  • Construction equipment
  • Earthmoving equipment
  • Industrial floors
  • Warehouse floors
  • Floor demarcation
  • Line marking
  • Non-slip flooring systems
  • Forklift traffic areas
  • Heavy pedestrian traffic areas
  • Cold-storage and low-temperature environments
  • Metal refurbishment
  • Industrial maintenance coating systems

These applications take advantage of the coating's combination of adhesion, flexibility, toughness, chemical resistance and UV stability, together with its ability to function as a direct-to-metal coating or as a finish over suitable primers.
