Heat Resistant Paint

SPECHEAT®
2K Silicone 650 Colours

SPECHEAT® 2K Silicone 650 Colours is a two-component, solvent-based high-temperature coating formulated with an air-drying, cross-linking silicone binder and specialised heat-resistant pigments.

Designed for the internal and external protection of steel operating at elevated temperatures, the coating provides excellent adhesion, flexibility, abrasion resistance and weathering performance. It withstands continuous dry temperatures up to 650°C and intermittent temperature surges up to 700°C, making it suitable for severe high-heat industrial applications including furnaces, kilns, stacks, exhaust systems and hot piping.

Intended Uses

SPECHEAT® 2K Silicone 650 Colours is designed for the corrosion protection of steel surfaces operating continuously at elevated temperatures. It is particularly suited to industrial equipment where conventional protective coatings cannot withstand the temperatures generated during operation.

The coating can be used for both internal and external steel protection and is intended for equipment operating at continuous dry temperatures of up to 650°C, with intermittent temperature excursions reaching 700°C.

Because the coating combines high-temperature resistance with adhesion, flexibility, abrasion resistance and exterior weathering performance, it can be used across a range of processing, manufacturing and heavy industrial installations where steel equipment is routinely subjected to extreme heat.

Typical Applications:

  • Flare stacks
  • Industrial kilns
  • Furnace exteriors
  • Industrial furnaces
  • Flues
  • Mufflers
  • Exhaust systems
  • Industrial exhausts
  • Hot piping
  • High-temperature pipework
  • Stacks
  • Chimneys
  • Process equipment operating at elevated temperatures
  • High-temperature steel structures
  • Heated steel components
  • Thermal processing equipment
  • Industrial heating equipment
  • High-temperature plant components
  • Steel surfaces exposed to continuous dry heat
  • Exterior high-temperature steel equipment

These applications are based on the product's ability to provide corrosion protection while tolerating continuous dry temperatures of 650°C and intermittent temperatures up to 700°C.
