Intended Uses
SpecHeat® Silicone 540 Aluminium is a heat resistant topcoat for high temperature service. It is used for the internal and external protection of steel surfaces. Temperature resistance is up to 540°C.
When used over the Inorganic Zinc Primer, it will provide excellent corrosion protection in humid environments and protection from corrosion due to condensation, but maximum temperature is subsequently reduced to 420°C.
SpecHeat® Silicone 540 Aluminium is recommended for stacks, furnaces, boilers, jet engines and metal parts which operate at elevated temperatures. It is used for new fabrication/construction and maintenance.
