Industrial Maintenance Primer

Epoxy
8930 ST

Epoxy 8930 ST is a two-component, high-solids, zinc phosphate pigmented epoxy primer specifically developed for industrial maintenance and protective coating applications where surface preparation may be limited. This surface-tolerant coating delivers excellent adhesion to steel, galvanized steel, cast iron, aluminium, stainless steel, GRP, and aged epoxy coatings while providing outstanding corrosion protection and long-term overcoating flexibility. Its fast-drying properties and robust mechanical performance make it ideal for both new construction and maintenance projects in industrial, coastal, and chemically aggressive environments.

Available in 5L kit sizes.

Intended Uses

Epoxy 8930 ST is designed for industrial protective coating systems where long-term corrosion protection, substrate versatility, and simplified maintenance procedures are required. Its surface-tolerant characteristics make it particularly suitable for refurbishment projects, maintenance shutdowns, and steel structures where abrasive blasting may be restricted or impractical. The coating performs exceptionally well in industrial, marine, petrochemical, mining, and infrastructure environments where assets are exposed to moisture, atmospheric contaminants, and mechanical wear. Its extended overcoating capability allows steelwork to be primed in fabrication workshops and top-coated months later without compromising coating performance.

Typical Applications:

  • Structural steel protection
  • Industrial plant maintenance
  • Petrochemical facilities
  • Chemical processing plants
  • Mining infrastructure
  • Pulp and paper mills
  • Bridges and transportation infrastructure
  • Steel fabrication workshops
  • Factory-applied primer systems
  • Storage tanks and vessels
  • Pipe racks and support structures
  • Galvanized steel structures
  • Offshore and coastal steelwork
