Intended Uses
PLASTIBAND® Overbanding Tape is a preformed thermoplastic, hotmelt overbanding tape used for the permanent repair of open cracks, joint and seams up to 5mm wide to prevent moisture ingress after road repairs etc. Based on a high-performance elasticized resins and polymers, the tape is easily unrolled and melted (torched on) to form a tough, adherent and sealed surface.
The premixed aggregates provide a non-skid textured finish. The highly adhesive material adheres to both asphalt and concrete surfaces.
Application Steps

Ensure the surface is clean & dry. Pre-heating will aid in drying the surface prior to application.

Position the PLASTIBAND® Overband Tape onto the application surface.

Keep the application torch perpendicular to the surface, evenly heat until the material is molten & conforms to the profile of the surface.

While in its molten form, broadcast additional aggregate, if required to further increase skid resistance.
