Pro Façade Shield
A one-component, water-based silane-siloxane façade primer that penetrates deeply into mineral masonry substrates to create a breathable, hydrophobic barrier that reduces water absorption while allowing vapour to escape.
HydroGuard® Pro Façade Shield is a high-performance, breathable water-repellent primer formulated for mineral building substrates such as brickwork, plaster, aerated concrete and sand-lime brick. Once applied, it penetrates into the substrate and chemically reacts to form a silicone resin barrier within the capillaries — significantly reducing water ingress without blocking vapour transmission.
This ensures façades remain protected from moisture, staining, cracking and freeze–thaw damage, while the substrate continues to “breathe” naturally. The coating develops water repellency rapidly, improves substrate durability, and provides an ideal adhesion base for silicone resin paints, breathable coatings and mineral finishes. It may also be used as a standalone hydrophobic treatment on absorbent mineral surfaces.

Intended Uses
HydroGuard® Pro Façade Shield is designed for use as a breathable, water-repellent primer and protective treatment on absorbent mineral masonry substrates in both new construction and refurbishment projects.
