Aircraft PU - UV Block
MILCOAT® Aircraft PU - UV Block is a two-component, solvent-based aliphatic polyurethane coating engineered for demanding military and industrial applications. This high-solids, flexible polyester-modified system combines zinc phosphate pigmentation with strong adhesion promotion to provide excellent corrosion protection, UV stability and weather resistance.
Featuring POLYFAST® technology, the coating delivers rapid curing while maintaining a practical 2–4 hour pot life at 25°C. The cured coating provides exceptional depth of gloss, an ultra-smooth appearance and a high-slip surface, together with excellent flexibility, sealing and anti-blocking properties.

Intended Uses
MILCOAT® Aircraft PU - UV Block is positioned within the Military Coatings section of the Specialized Coating Systems Industrial & Protective range and is designed as a flexible polyurethane primer/finish for applications requiring high levels of UV stability, weather resistance, corrosion protection and surface durability.
Its aliphatic polyurethane chemistry makes it particularly suitable for externally exposed coating systems where maintaining colour, gloss and appearance is important. The combination of zinc phosphate pigmentation, adhesion promotion and flexible polyester modification provides both protective and finishing properties within an appropriately specified system.
The coating should be applied over a suitable primer or anti-corrosive coating system, with damaged areas prepared and reprimed before application.
Although the product name identifies aircraft applications, the performance characteristics described in the datasheet also make it relevant to other suitably specified military and industrial equipment where a high-quality, UV-resistant polyurethane finish is required.
