MILCOAT®
PU Land Systems Matt 03

MILCOAT® PU Land Systems 03 Matt is a two-component, solvent-borne aliphatic polyurethane acrylic topcoat developed for military land systems and other demanding exterior applications. Designed to comply with RSA-MIL-SPEC 42 – Issue 5:2005, it provides a durable matt finish with excellent UV resistance, colour retention and mechanical performance under harsh operational conditions.

The formulation incorporates UV absorbers and hindered amine light stabilisers (HALS) to improve long-term weathering and colour stability. Low infrared reflectance supports camouflage requirements, while the fully cured coating provides excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents.

Pack Sizes: 5L & 20L Kits.

Features & Benefits

  • Military-grade topcoat
    Designed to comply with RSA-MIL-SPEC 42 – Issue 5:2005.
  • 2K aliphatic polyurethane acrylic technology
Provides a hard, durable finish for demanding exterior service.
  • Excellent UV resistance
Aliphatic polyurethane chemistry resists UV degradation and chalking.
  • Long-term colour retention
HALS and UV absorber technology helps maintain colour stability during exterior exposure.
  • Low infrared signature
Infrared reflectance of less than 16% at 800 nm supports camouflage requirements.
  • Ultra-matt appearance
Provides a uniform finish with less than 3% gloss at 85°.
  • Excellent chemical resistance
Resistant to white spirits, MEK and mineral oil under the test conditions specified.
  • Salt spray resistance
Tested over a primed substrate with no corrosion after 10 days in accordance with ASTM B117.
  • Mechanical durability
Crosslinked polyurethane chemistry provides excellent film hardness.
  • Scratch resistance
Tested at 800 g with no penetration to the substrate.
  • Flexible coating film
Passes the specified 6 mm mandrel bend test without cracking or adhesion loss.
  • Excellent adhesion
Cross-cut testing showed no coating removal.
  • Anti-sag properties
    Supports application to vertical surfaces.
  • Low dirt retention
Formulated for low dirt pick-up during service.
  • Wide colour availability
Available in military colours, RAL, NCS or custom colours on request.
  • Multiple spray methods
Suitable for conventional air spray, HVLP, electrostatic air spray and air-assisted airless application.
