Chlorinated Rubber Topcoat

CR Topcoat

CR Topcoat is a single-component chlorinated rubber finish coat developed as the final protective and decorative layer within the Specialized Coating Systems Chlorinated Rubber System. Designed for industrial, marine, mining, and infrastructure environments, it provides excellent weather resistance, flexibility, and protection against atmospheric corrosion and chemical splash exposure. The fast-drying formulation allows efficient maintenance and refurbishment work while delivering a durable semi-matt finish with excellent intercoat adhesion through its unique "melt-in" characteristics.

Available in 5L and 20L pack sizes.

Intended Uses

CR Topcoat is formulated as the final protective layer in chlorinated rubber coating systems where durability, ease of maintenance, and resistance to aggressive industrial atmospheres are required. The coating provides long-term protection against moisture, industrial pollutants, salt-laden coastal conditions, and intermittent chemical exposure while maintaining an attractive finish. Its fast-drying properties and ease of overcoating make it particularly suitable for maintenance programmes, shutdown work, and corrosion protection systems operating in challenging industrial environments.

Typical Applications:

  • Structural steel protection systems
  • Mining plants and processing facilities
  • Chemical processing plants
  • Petrochemical installations
  • Marine infrastructure
  • Shipbuilding and vessel maintenance
  • Port and harbour structures
  • Coastal infrastructure
  • Mechanical engineering facilities
  • Transportation infrastructure
  • Automotive engineering facilities
  • Industrial buildings and steel frameworks
