Chlorinated Rubber Protective Primer

CR Primer

CR Primer is a single-component solvent-based chlorinated rubber primer formulated to provide excellent corrosion protection, substrate adhesion, and chemical resistance in industrial and protective coating systems. Designed as the foundation coat within chlorinated rubber systems, it delivers outstanding adhesion to steel, galvanized steel, GRP, and other suitably prepared substrates while offering excellent water resistance and long-term overcoating flexibility. The fast-drying formulation makes it ideal for maintenance and new-build projects in industrial, marine, transportation, and chemical processing environments.

Available in 5L and 20L pack sizes.

Intended Uses

CR HB Intercoat is designed as a high-build intermediate coat within chlorinated rubber protective coating systems where corrosion protection, chemical resistance, and rapid maintenance turnaround are required. The coating performs exceptionally well in industrial, marine, transportation, and chemical processing environments where steel structures are exposed to moisture, atmospheric contaminants, salt-laden conditions, and intermittent chemical contact. Its fast-drying characteristics and ease of maintenance make it particularly suitable for refurbishment and maintenance coating programmes.

Typical Applications:

  • Structural steel coating systems
  • Industrial plant steelwork
