WB Tannin & Stain Blocking Primer
SpecWood® WB Tannin & Stain Blocking Primer is a one-component, waterborne self-cross-linking acrylate sealer designed to lock stains beneath subsequent coating systems. It penetrates and seals the substrate, preventing stains from migrating through the paint film while providing excellent intercoat adhesion on wood, masonry, drywall and previously painted surfaces.

Intended Uses
SpecWood® WB Tannin & Stain Blocking Primer is designed as a locking sealer for stained surfaces where contaminants or discolouration could otherwise migrate through a newly applied coating system.
The primer can be applied thinly over existing stains to isolate them from subsequent paint layers. Typical problem areas include surfaces affected by nicotine, water damage, crayons, markers and food-related staining.
It also provides excellent intercoat adhesion between aged or previously stained surfaces and new coating systems, making it particularly useful for refurbishment and recoating projects.
