Pro Admix Water Block
A hydrophilic crystalline waterproofing admixture for mortar and masonry mixes that permanently seals capillaries and micro-cracks from within, delivering lifetime water resistance and self-sealing performance.
HydroGuard® Pro Admix Water Block is a high-performance crystalline admixture designed to provide integral, permanent waterproofing to cementitious masonry and mortar systems. When mixed into the mortar, its reactive chemistry combines with moisture and un-hydrated cement particles to form insoluble needle-like crystals inside the capillaries, pores and micro-cracks of the matrix.
These internal crystals block the pathways that allow water and contaminants to penetrate — unlike surface coatings, the protection becomes an integral part of the mortar and remains active for the full service life of the structure. When moisture is reintroduced, the admixture reactivates, growing new crystals to seal micro-cracks and prevent leak formation, ensuring long-term durability, reduced permeability, and enhanced resistance to moisture-related deterioration.
