Waterproofing Impregnating

HydroGuard®
Pro Solvent MAX

A one-component, solvent-based silane-siloxane treatment that penetrates deeply into mineral and concrete substrates to create a hydrophobic barrier, reducing water absorption while preserving vapour permeability and natural surface appearance.

HydroGuard® Pro Solvent Max is a high-performance, deep-penetrating reactive silane-siloxane designed for impregnating and priming mineral and highly alkaline building substrates. Once applied, it reacts with atmospheric moisture and pore water to form a durable silicone resin network inside the capillaries, dramatically reducing water uptake and protecting surfaces against moisture ingress and wind-driven rain.

Features & Benefits

  • Deep-penetrating hydrophobic barrier
  • Significantly reduces water absorption and ingress
  • Non-film forming — maintains vapour permeability
  • Suitable for neutral to highly alkaline substrates
  • Strong water-beading effect develops rapidly
  • Helps prevent salt blooming and efflorescence
  • Strengthens and consolidates mineral substrates
  • Improves long-term durability and weather resistance
  • Gas permeable — allows moisture vapour to escape
  • Effective even on damp substrates
  • Tack-free drying for clean application finish
  • Provides good adhesion base for recoating
  • No visible change to the treated surface appearance

Intended Uses

HydroGuard® Pro Solvent Max is designed for deep-penetrating façade and substrate protection in both new construction and refurbishment environments where breathable water-repellent treatment is required.

Suitable Substrates Include:

  • Brickwork and sand-lime brick
  • Mineral-based natural and artificial stone
  • Aerated concrete and lightweight aggregates
  • Mineral plasters and renders
  • Cement fibreboards
  • Mineral paints and coatings
  • All types of concrete, including bridge structures
  • Concrete masonry units (CMU)
  • Previously painted mineral surfaces
  • Clay tiles and porous masonry materials

Typical Applications Include:

  • Breathable façade water-repellent treatment
  • Protective sealing of concrete and masonry structures
  • Reduction of moisture absorption and wind-driven rain ingress
  • Efflorescence and salt-bloom prevention
  • Primer for breathable façade coatings and paints
  • Long-term weatherproofing of mineral building envelopes
