Sanding Wood Primer

SpecWood®
WB Roller Coater Filler Primer - Standard

SpecWood® WB Roller Coater Filler Primer STANDARD is a single-component, waterborne acrylic primer and surfacer developed specifically for industrial roller-coater and extrusion application on wood-based substrates. Designed for professional furniture and panel production, it combines excellent pore filling, surface levelling and adhesion with rapid drying and outstanding sanding characteristics.

The high-solids formulation effectively seals timber and MDF while filling minor surface imperfections to create a smooth, uniform foundation for subsequent finishing coats. Its rapid drying characteristics allow coated components to be sanded and overcoated quickly, while good early block resistance enables faster stacking, wrapping and handling during production. With high whiteness, a subtle sheen and smooth feel, SpecWood® WB Roller Coater Filler Primer STANDARD provides manufacturers with an efficient water-based priming solution for high-volume wood and furniture finishing operations.

Intended Uses

SpecWood® WB Roller Coater Filler Primer STANDARD is designed for industrial wood and furniture manufacturing processes where consistent film build, rapid production speeds and efficient surface preparation are required. It can be used on a wide range of wood-based substrates, including MDF, to simultaneously seal, prime and fill the surface before application of the selected finishing system.

The product is particularly well suited to automated and semi-automated production lines using specialised roller-coater equipment. Its combination of fast drying, excellent sanding and early block resistance helps reduce processing time between coating stages, allowing panels and components to progress rapidly through sanding, topcoating, stacking, handling and packaging operations.
