Intended Uses
LignaPrime Wood Primer is designed for use as a primer on soft or hard natural woods to protect & chemically prevent the degradation of lignin in the wood, which occurs naturally. Lignin is naturally occurring in wood and contributes to its rigidity & rot resistance. Lignins are particularly important in the formation of cell walls in wood because they lend rigidity and do not rot easily.
LignaPrime Wood Primer thus helps to drastically extend the life of the wood and the coating applied, enhancing its fade resistance, rot resistance, surface hardness and weathering/water resistance. Due to the impregnating properties of LignaPrime Wood Primer, it must be applied to bare wood to properly penetrate.
