ZINCFIX® Zinc-Alu 60 is a one-component, solvent-based zinc and aluminium rich primer/topcoat designed for the corrosion protection of steel and hot-dip galvanized surfaces. Containing 60% zinc/aluminium in the dry film, it forms a strongly adherent protective coating for use in corrosive industrial environments.
Its bright grey metallic finish is designed to blend with newly galvanized steel, making it particularly suitable for galvanized steel repair and maintenance. Easy to apply by brush, spray or aerosol, ZINCFIX® Zinc-Alu 60 combines anti-corrosive protection with weather resistance and UV stability in a convenient single-component system.
ZINCFIX® Zinc-Alu 60 is designed as a zinc-rich protective primer/coating for steel and hot-dip galvanized surfaces exposed to corrosive environments. It forms an adherent anti-corrosive coating and can be applied at film builds exceeding 100 µm where the specified coating system requires it.
One of its primary applications is the repair and maintenance of galvanized steel. Cutting, drilling, welding, grinding or mechanical damage can remove the original galvanized coating and expose the underlying steel. ZINCFIX® Zinc-Alu 60 can be applied to the correctly prepared repair area to restore corrosion protection.
The bright grey metallic finish also helps repaired areas visually blend with the surrounding galvanizing, providing both protective and aesthetic benefits.
Unlike ZINCFIX® Original, which is a two-component zinc-rich epoxy supplied for localized high-build repairs, ZINCFIX® Zinc-Alu 60 offers the convenience of a single-component brush, spray or aerosol-applied system, making it particularly practical for maintenance and larger repair areas.
Typical Applications:
The aerosol version is particularly convenient for small repairs, difficult-to-access areas and maintenance touch-ups where setting up conventional spray equipment would be impractical.
